Laser treatment has been found to be very helpful in reducing the pain often associated with newly inserted orthodontics. Lasering the areas likely to be pressured by the apparatus, immediately on fitting, can both delay and reduce any resultant pain. Accelerated bone regeneration has also been demonstrated following laser therapy, aiding the reestablishment of new dental positioning.
